After releasing patch R1.28.4, we were honestly taken by surprise. The amount of positive feedback we received from the community was far beyond anything we expected. It means a great deal to us to see that, after all these years, players still enjoy Soldiers: Heroes of World War II and continue to keep it alive.
With that in mind, we decided to take one more step and work on something that adds a few new pieces to the game, nothing huge, but enough to prepare the ground for what we want to present in the future. This update is small, but it’s an important one.
Furthermore, the game can access more than 2GB of RAM, which helps improve stability and gives more room to mod makers to add more entities to their missions and maps.
Currently, we’re already testing the R1.28.5 patch internally, but we’d like an extra set of eyes before we move forward. We would like to invite you to join the open beta test and help us make sure everything is solid before the full release. Getting into the beta is simple:
- Navigate to your Steam Library.
- Find Soldiers: Heroes of World War II.
- Right-click the game and select Properties.
- Go to the Betas tab, then set the Beta Participation to “patch_beta.”
